The Future Of Music Business in Nigeria

Michael Chukwuebuka Ngene aka .SM is a Nigerian-American songwriter, vocalist, and producer with a wide range of musical expressions including Hip-Hop, R&B, Afro-Beats till infinity. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, before moving to America at age 12.
In 2015, Michael decided to jump “head-first” into music production with no prior experience. This was as a result of constantly waiting for producers to send free beats, as well as being unable to afford studio sessions. As opposed to feeling down and out, SM decided to dedicate his 9-5 paychecks to building a makeshift studio in his closet and learn the music creation process.
In 2021 Michael decided to go on the biggest reality show in Africa, Big brother Nigeria to showcase his talent and music to the world. Coming out of the show He is looking forward to becoming an established artist in Nigeria and beyond, then transitioning into an executive role in years’ time as He wants to manage and help distribute music for other upcoming acts. He is also ready to take on the entertainment industry fully in whatever form it comes asides music.
Michael also has plans of returning to school to study classical music and behavioral psychology.
