Lockdown Palava

Radio Drama: (Kàsúwàn Kúgiyá), a Radio series focused on raising awareness and access to credible information about the coronavirus pandemic in our society.

Upon the declaration of lockdown by the community head, the entire kugiya community is thrown into a state of pandemonium, youths take to the street in protest, according to the; the lockdown is a ploy by the village head and a Chinese company to install a 5G network in the community, which they believe is the cause of the novel coronavirus.

The impacts of the novel virus are nothing but highly overwhelming in Nigeria since the index case was confirmed on 27 February 2020. Following the global practice, a nationwide lockdown was thus announced in Nigeria on 30 March 2020 with immediate effects in three states of the Federation namely: Lagos, Ogun, and Abuja.
