COVID-19 Rejected Emergencies: Four Nigerians share the story of how their lives changed due to COVID-19; access to other medical services was cut off. The emergencies include rescuing a newborn from death and losing loved ones.

They were experiencing a Rejected Emergency.  The documentary covers the entangled implications of the lockdown; pandemic; fear; self-diagnosis; and disrupted medical services of COVID-19 despite its novel status. The documentary is produced by Femi D Amele, a multi-award-winning broadcast journalist and public health advocate as supported by Nigeria Health Watch.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate .Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.
