Kaduna State Government Enlists 7,000 Vigilantes in the Fight Against Banditry and Kidnapping

The governor has announced the deployment of vigilante members to rural communities. To enhance security in Kaduna State, the government has enlisted 7,000 young individuals into the state’s vigilance service, aiming to complement the efforts of federal security agencies. This recruitment process involves collaboration with key stakeholders such as local government chairpersons, traditional leaders, and religious figures.

Governor Sani views this initiative not only as a significant stride toward reinstating security and fostering development but also as an avenue to create employment opportunities for the youth population.
