Various experts across different economic sectors are gearing up to present an agenda aimed at fostering inclusive economic growth through effective governance during the 47th Annual Conference of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAN). The President and Chairman of the Governing Council of ICSAN, Mrs. Funmi Ekundayo, made this announcement during a pre-conference briefing in Lagos last week.
Represented by Mrs. Uto Ukpanah, the Vice President of ICSAN and Chairperson of the Planning Committee for the conference, Ekundayo revealed that the event, scheduled for September 21, 2023, will feature distinguished guests such as Mr. Asue Ighodalo, Founding Partner at Banwo & Ighodalo (who will serve as the Conference Chairman), and Prof. Enase Okonedo, Vice Chancellor of Pan Atlantic University, Lagos (the Keynote Speaker).
Discussing the conference’s theme, “Sound Governance as a Catalyst for a Thriving Economy: Advocating for Inclusiveness,” Ekundayo emphasized the critical role sound governance plays in enhancing integrity and efficiency within a nation. She noted that poor governance can undermine a country’s potential and lead to unethical and corrupt practices, highlighting the significance of addressing these issues.
