With an announcement imminent over who will be officially bidding to host Euro 2028, could the U.K. and Ireland be in contention to win their bid, and what impact could both be bidding for and potentially hosting Europe’s biggest football competition have on the chosen nations?
Dr. Tom Bason from Coventry University’s Research Centre for Business in Society has carried out Ph.D. research into bidding for major international sporting competitions and the societal and economic impacts of hosting them.
He is also an Associate, Research Centre for Business in Society and Assistant Professor in Sport Management and Course Director for BA Sports Management, BA Event Management, BA Sports Marketing, and BA International Event and Hospitality Management
He gives his insights on this interview with Nonso Mordi
