Coding for Youth – Importance of Skills Training and Mentorship

The expansion of coding into the curriculum for Foundation Phase learners is good news for education and will hopefully create opportunities for school leavers to develop the skills they will need for the jobs of the future.
But the knowledge of coding on its own is simply not enough to guarantee employment, says Andrew Bourne.
Andrew Bourne is Zoho’s regional manager for the Africa region and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He has more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing and has spent the last five years focusing on the implementation and testing of various business technologies. He is very passionate about Zoho, skills training in technology and has exceptional insight into the technology business and marketing world.
On the show, he give more insight on coding for youths-self learning, skills training and mentorship.
